Emmalita is a 16 year old that part of a watcher family. She found her parents murdered and her whole world changed 2 years ago and now is about to have her world rocked again when her family crazy history shakes up what she thinks she knows about herself and what she thought would be her place in society. Sadly now she is trying to figure out her place in the shifter world that she always just been a watch too. Her best friend is a dragon shifter from a very old family. Join them on their adventure the spring break that lands them attending at "Shifter High" as planned but now in a totally different capacity than planned the following year. What does her crazy genes have in store for her and her baby brother and watch as their fates get turned on their heads.

The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max. All they had that was unique from other creatures was a highly evolved brain with the intelligence of a human and a heart of platinum. Note. Some creatures don't belong to me in any way. Dragon is 16 years of age, she is also a dragon shifter. One day she's flying when a net grabs her and sends her plummeting down towards the ground below. She wakes up in a wheat field and two teenage boys are running her way, one with brown hair and amber brown eyes and one older one with black hair and forest green eyes. They examine her wing and realize that its sprained. They take her in and make sure her wing is healed properly. She shifts back and Properly meets The black haired boy, They bond but what happens when Dragon's wing is healed and she has to be free. Will she stay with her new friends or will she be free once more? READ TO FIND OUT! A/N: This story has terrible grammar and incorrect sentencing and updates are slow because of writers block.
