Mend My Heart

Women tend to have a more sensitive heart than men when it pertains to love. Not saying that men don't get hurt or don't feel, they just tend to not show it or even let it affect them as much. They don't let it rule their decisions sometimes. On the other hand, women are such strong, but yet sensitive creatures. When women love, they love with their whole hearts, mind, body, and soul. They do whatever needs to be done. But when a woman's trust and vulnerability are compromised or taken advantage of and her love isn't taken seriously, it causes her to hurt. It causes her pain. It causes her to block and put up walls so that no one else can make her feel insignificant or even "weak". It causes her to lose or even forget how extraordinary she truly is.

This story is for those women. Women who are hurt or have been hurt and are scared to let someone in. This is for those who are scared to be themselves. Those who don't know how to be themselves and be okay with it.

Naomi Summers a 30-year-old ex-News personality, starts her new job as a public speaking professor at Vanderbilt University in Tennesee. Being new to the team, Naomi has to learn the ends and outs of the campus. While getting acclimated to campus, she meets a daring young man who is tenacious and determined to knock down the walls of her guarded heart. He helps her break out of her comfort zone and deal with the insecurities that hinder her from truly loving who she is a taking a risk on herself to be happy.

Desmond Valentineé a 34-year-old alumni and fellow professor at Vanderbilt University is at a loss for words when he meets Naomi. Doing everything he can, he's persistent in getting close to her, as she is a hard case to crack, but is willing to show her that she is a diamond formed under pressure.

With Naomi scared to do anything or be with anyone and her past affecting her ability to walk a new path, how will things end?
