Nadine grew up in Derry, though she didn't know the town well at all. Her father suffered from extreme agoraphobia because of an encounter he'd had when he was younger. Ever since, he'd isolated himself and encouraged this life on his daughter through homeschooling. Nadine did not realise that it was to protect her from the looming presence he'd always felt in the town of Derry. At least she did not realise it yet. Eventually, It all became too much for Nadine and her mother and they encouraged him to leave. They knew that only then would he be able to heal and so he left, and Nadine was free. For Nadine it felt like she could finally be a normal teenager and she was determined to spend the last week of Summer doing normal teenager things. Her guard was down and she was vulnerable to the town because of it. She will soon realise that Derry has secrets and so does its people.
