Hermione Granger returns back to Hogwarts to finish her last year. After everything that has happened as a result of the war, she has fallen into a major displacement. Upon entering the school that has been her second home for several years, she instantly feels drawn to one specific part of the castle in which other students are forbidden to enter. Behind her friend's back, Hermione travels into the depths of the dungeons where she is guided on pure instinct to the door of the man whose very exsistence will alter her own.

Draco Malfoy, as his one and only act of kindness during his time at Hogwarts resulted in him making the ultimate sacrifice. And all for the sake of a certain brown-haired Gryffindor. He, somehow, awakens as a newly transformed vampire, who struggles to keep a handle on the creature inside of him. He can't understand how or why Hermione comes to find him inside the dungeons, but fights to keep her away. Something is happening to her. Draco can sense it.

His Gryffindor princess has lost her glow.

He's a regrettably barbarous, pureblood, Slytherin heir; 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, unavailable, and that's the way he'd prefer it to remain. Draco Malfoy has much more important, particularly insidious business to attend to, rather than waste time worrying about altering the course of an already pre-determined marriage. No sense in lingering on an emotional connection with any witch deemed fit for the deplorable role, when one has a serpent's fangs buried deep in their skin, releasing venom at an alarming rate... Unfortunately for him (and for her), Madeleine Desrosiers cannot be reasoned with, and she has her golden eyes locked squarely on one wizard only. This hazardous enchantress is a terrifically stubborn French Beauxbatons transfer student with little knowledge about Hogwarts, a terribly inconvenient Parisian dialect, and a knack for touching things that definitely do 𝗻𝗼𝘁 belong to her. Finding herself drawn to him despite his inhospitable charm, Madeleine shall ultimately become the grand architect of her own personal prison. Sudden and involuntary bequeathment to the Malfoy family shield was definitely not the game plan. She is inevitably drawn deeper into a world darker than she'd ever imagined, and in order to navigate the shadows of her new apocalyptic life, she must discover the gift of 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲. ☙ Book Two: Obliviation ❧ ☙ Book Three: Aftermath ❧ ☙ Book Four: Supremacy ❧
