In a world where Men of Steel fly high above Metropolis and Dark Knights stalk the streets of Gotham, where secret societies wish for nothing more than global domination.
One such society or rather a League of Assassins have lived within the darkness for nearly several millennia, secretly molding the world in their image.
Lost and wayward souls have found a home within the league and became one of the deadliest forces on the planet.
One such soul by the name of Marcus Cain after his parents were killed when he was just an infant. Under her guidance and tutelage as well as that of the Demon's head himself Ra's Al Ghul, Marcus grew up and quickly became one of their best.
But one day Marcus betrayed the league and was sentenced to death by the steel of Ra's Al Ghul. Miraculously he survived not only a sword through the chest, but a 200ft fall that should have killed him.
Two years have passed since that day and he quickly took to the streets as a lone vigilante. Striking out against injustice from the shadows.
