Kicking It

Ellis Reynolds first met River Hale at a park when they were seven years old. It was there that she learned how to play his favorite sport: soccer. The two friends were quite inseparable.

One day, River leaves for France and disappears completely from her life, leaving behind no form of contact. Ellis is devastated, but grows up to be a charismatic woman nonetheless.

Her life is once again turned completely upside down when her childhood friend returns ten years later. She is shocked when he acts in an indifferent manner and does not recognize her, but determined to find out what lies beneath his cold facade.

In the process, sparks start flying and Ellis's hard-to-stir heart is shaken. Will Ellis find out what truly happened to River Hale? Will River accept Ellis's heart, her good will and intentions, or will he keep kicking it to the curb?
