For the money her husband died leaving for her to support her and the child was spend up on his funeral for some problem with the insurance company She could hardly find much for herself and the child now and to take in a homeless man was bound to make things worst but because of her teachings and her son who push her to let the strange man stay in their house she was unable to leave him out on the street,
