Morgan has to get out. Something very wrong is going on at the First Street Orphanage, and she's not sure what. But even if her suspicions are right, how could she possibly prove it? She's only been there for a couple of years, but girls have been going missing and with her eighteenth birthday coming up, she's afraid she might be next.
She has family in San Fransisco, so her best bet is to make it there and hope they'll take her in. But to get there is going to take some clever planning and if she's caught, it could mean the end for her. Is being brave enough or will she have to use every skill her older brother ever taught her to survive?

"What's going on?" "Nothing. Please just keep jogging or something." "What're you hiding, Kelsey?" Her eyes searched mine, then very slowly she gave in. "Um...if I tell you...can you promise that you won't be angry? And that you won't freak out and punch the poor guy?" "Why would I...are you cheating on Jason?" "What?" "Is that guy the person you're cheating on Jason with?" I demanded angrily. "He has been nothing but good to you, Kelsey, how could you just cheat on him? He's a good guy!" "No! Ryder, that's not what this is!" For whatever reason, I believed her. "Fine," I said eventually. "I swear not to punch the guy if you tell me what's going on." "Um...it'd be kind of easier to show you than to tell you." I walked with Kelsey around the bench, and the guy stood up, looking down at me with very familiar eyes. Corey. I was looking up at Corey. Sorry Kelsey. And then I punched him. Book two, following A Bad Boy's Worst Nightmare. It's been almost a year since Corey left, leaving Ryder completely broken and alone. Now, he appears to be back once she sees him in the park. But when she's made to understand that the boy is in fact Corey's twin brother, she allows herself to let her guard down a little. But could trusting the brother of the boy that destroyed her heart really be the best idea? Or would he be just like his brother--the complete and total destruction of everything decent in Ryder's life?

~"When are you going to do what's best for you Sadie? All you ever do is what's best for Hallie and push your own wants and needs to the bottom of the pile and let it hurt everyone else in the process."~ Sadie Taylor has been back in her hometown for 6 short months. After leaving 11 years ago, it's fair to say that her life now is a 180 spin on the free innocent teenager she left as. She's more than happy taking things at her own pace. Hoping that if she moves slow enough, she can keep her and her daughter in their own little bubble that has kept them safe all these years. But with the arrival of a familiar stranger arriving at Black Oak Ranch, things are set to be more complicated than she'd been counting on. Ryder Matthews fucked up and he knows it. 11 years ago, he left the love of his lie in some pre-college life freak out and when he returned 3 years later, she was gone. After spending the better part of 14 months travelling the world in hopes of finding some kind of meaning to life outside of the little town where every turn is a burning memory of Sadie, he returns with no hope. He's stuck to deal with his consequences. A week after his return home, Ryder heads to Jack Taylor's ranch to get his old farm hand job back. When he steps out of the car, a 9 year old girl greets him and when her mom comes to see what the fuss is all about, he's met with the last person he thought he'd ever see back in Alcombey. But when his heart is still beating for her and her heart is locked behind solid concrete walls, is that even possible?
