In einem Alternativuniversum auf dem Planeten Minrale lebt die Spezies der Schemnen. Sie hält von sich sehr viel, stellt sich selbst gerne ins Zentrum der Welt, erforscht die Wege der Wissenschaft und steht im Krieg. Seit nun 2 Jahren bekriegen sich das spirituelle Volk der Tüd'chen  mit den liberal gesinnten Ghuski.

Anaiis wächst in einer ärmeren Familie auf und kann aufgrund ihres Könnens in eine neue Klasse steigen und mit der neuen Freiheit ziehen sich auch neue Schwierigkeiten.
