Riley Martins attends high school for the first time after being homeschooled her entire life due to health conditions; childhood cancer that caused her to become blind. Riley is a innocent 16 year old girl who managed to find solace through dance and music. But what happens when one day James Carter manages to break down Rileys walls and they fall for one another. Riley discovers that James isn't who he seems to be, he actually has a sweet empathetic side hidden behind his bad boy player front, and with the influence of Riley, James changes for the better. Note: I don't own these characters; they come from the Canadian tv show the next step. Although I have added some made up characters into the story. Enjoy reading:)

Guy looked at me with a serious expression on his face, "You know James, it seems to me like you might have a crush on me." I immediately got defensive, "Shut up." ----------------------------------- James is the nerd of the school, focused on becoming a doctor. Guy is hard on the outside but soft on the inside, aiming to become a musician. The two make the best of friends but when Guy comes back from holiday, he begins to see them as more than that. Throw in a crumbling friend group, the messy divorce of James's parents and an opportunity for Guy to gain a scholarship to music school and the boys find their lives turning upside down. Will they pull through, or fall apart?
