"What is love?" "Loving someone means accepting someone with their flaws. Loving someone means, that even after knowing that they are lying you still pretend to not know the truth. Loving someone means, placing your heart in their hands to crumple it however they want. Loving someone means, giving them the power to either break you mercilessly or make you loving...." Sofia's relationship with Avery used to feel like love - now it feels like survival. After years of lies, manipulation, and broken trust, she's forgotten what it means to feel safe. Then there's Jasmine - her coworker, her friend, her unexpected calm in the middle of chaos. Around Jasmine, Sofia laughs again. She breathes again. But falling for someone new while you're still trapped in something toxic isn't simple. As Avery's control tightens and the line between loyalty and self-preservation blurs, Sofia must decide: does she stay in the comfort of what's familiar, or finally choose herself - even if it means letting go?
