There is a part of Percy Weasley - buried deep down inside - that doesn't believe a soulmate's thoughts will ever grace his skin. Not everyone has a soulmate connection, some say it's because they don't have one, others claim they've just never met them. Percy doesn't pretend he has any idea how it works, but he knows that he's difficult, that people don't like him very easily, and surely any soulmate he might potentially have would be happier finding someone else. Someone less complicated.
Oliver can't wait for his soulmate's thoughts to appear somewhere on his body, he is determined to find her as fast as possible so that they can have the rest of their lives together. His parents are always telling him how wonderful it feels to fall in love with your soulmate and he just knows that she will love quidditch as much as he does (well... not quite as much as him...).
