Cleo has been at camp half blood since finding her family was missing from their old apartment. The school year was quiet, but there was trouble at Camp Half-Blood when summertime came. The magical borders that protected Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by an unknown enemy. Cleo teams alongside Percy and his friends to find a magic item powerful enough to save the camp before it is overrun by mythological monsters. The catch: in order to find it, they must sail into the dangerous Sea of Monsters that Greek heroes have sailed for millennia (now known as the Bermuda Triangle). To complete the mission and save their friend Grover, they must battle monsters and stage a rescue operation. A terrible secret about the family tree has the young half-bloods questioning whether their ancestry was an honor... or a curse.
