Eliza Evans is a teenage girl from Bridgeport, Illinois. A.K.A the south side of Chicago. She was born and raised in one of the most notorious gangs in the state, The Royals. She dreams of running away and finding something good and purposeful in her life, but with her abusive friends and father, she can't seem to find an escape. Living life as a teenage gang member isn't easy, and she constantly finds herself in dangerous situations, most even life threatening. James Caldera grew up with Eliza in the gang, and has loved her since the moment they met as children. Isolating herself from love, she pushes him away, to protect not only herself, but also him. She has never truly accepted love, and thought she never would. But when she meets a boy made of sunshine at school who can't seem to take her off his mind, something changes.
