To say Xan Braylon has had a hectic childhood is more than an understatement. Her mother left when she was young, and her father always struggled to make ends meet. And then he died recently. Xan has recognized she had a certain ability when she was younger. It started when her twin brother unfortunately passed when they were both only three years old. She didn't understand that he had died, because she could still talk to him. She was always hearing voices. Even of people she'd never met. But this isn't normal. Or is it? Shawn Flynn, the son of the woman who is taking in Xan, is completely fascinated by her. She's not an ordinary girl and he notices this.
