Kaylee is a young, aspiring actress. She knows she has talent, but for some reason nobody seems interested in giving her a chance. When she's finally offered a job - by one of the biggest producers in Hollywood - she believes her big break is just around the corner. That is, until she realizes her job includes pretending to be in love with a member of a band to make him fall for her. All of this so that this boy will be able to write songs about love – and heartbreak.
Threatened by the risk of being black-listed and intrigued by the prize at the end, Kaylee takes the job, thinking it's only acting...
