Once the summer starts, Kyra Larue has a whole two months ahead of her. Parties on the beach every weekend, her families' annual yacht trip to the Carolinas, golf with her best friend, Georgia Wales, and hanging out with her crush, Reginald Banks, and his friend, Carter Jones. But when a new kid moves into her neighborhood and takes over the neighborhood, the summer takes a turn for the worst. Kyra's brother, Samson, gets bullied, and Reggie goes under an extreme mental state after an awful sleepover. Kyra's mental health becomes worse, and puts her in a life or death situation, and everyone around her is affected. Will Kyra and her friends fix the summer before high school? Or... is someone not making it to Freshman year?

It was supposed to be fun for Julian as well but after plans abruptly change and thousands of dollars that cannot go to waste, he finds himself alone at the trip. Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything.
