"You're too good for this world- Angel- and because of that the world will eventually crush you." Eli said and if anything he held Tyde closer than he had before, and Tyde buried his head almost impossibly closer into Eli's chest.
"The world has already crushed me." Tyde mumbled.
"Don't say that because that would imply giving up, and as selfish as it is my Angel, I won't let you give up on the world not if it meant that I had to live without you, and the world would have had to have hurt you and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I wasn't able to protect you. This place is too evil for innocent Angels like you ." By the time Eli was finished he had tears threatening to spill and so did Tyde, but not because he was sad but because he felt something; a feeling that felt a lot like love.

"Leo pinned me against the wall with his hips. His hands gently gripped my wrists, keeping my arms above my head against the cool brick behind me. His quicksilver eyes were filled with such an intense, carnal desire I couldn't even look into them, so I looked over his shoulder.
