goodbye my lover - Aldhelm

Trissa Uhtredsdottir, is a brave, funny, clever and stubborn young girl! Together with her father, his men and her mother Gisela, she lives in Coccham, a small estate that King Alfred granted to her father!

She is skilled with sword, axe and shield! Her younger siblings Stiorra and young Uhtred look to their big sister as a role model in almost everything she does! Trissa loves her siblings and protects them from anything that could be a danger to them!

One day they travel to Lady Æthelflæd's wedding and when they reach Winchester, Trissa immediately feels uncomfortable! Moreover her father has enraged 2 Dane brothers and has learned of a prophecy from one of them!

Deciding to follow the prophecy, he tells Finan, Sihtric and Trissa to travel with him! Before the 4 plus Æthelwold leave, however, Uhtred gives Sihtric permission to marry the woman he loves!

Happier than ever, Sihtric saddles his horse and Trissa smirks at his childish behaviour! He unceremoniously throws her off with a rag and soon they are both laughing about it! Finan and Sihtric are like Trissa's big brothers, she loves them both to death!

The 4 plus Æthelwold are back before the wedding started! Gisela was already waiting for the 4 at the palace and together they went inside! After the wedding, Uhtred, Finan, Sihtric and Trissa sat outside and talked to Æthelwold!

Suddenly a young monk stands in front of them and requests Uhtred's attention! Trissa nudged her father and nodded towards the monk! Uhtred looked at the monk and heard what he had to say! The silence was quickly shattered as Steapa suddenly stood behind Uhtred and asked him to come with him!

Trissa went with her father and when they entered the throne room, Gisela gave them a questioning look! When they finally stood before the king, Trissa looked into the eyes of a man who looked almost angelic to her!

She quickly learned that his name was Aldhelm...a beautiful name!
