Violet almost has it all, she is a poet and has previously won the English times award for her ability to delve into someone else's life through her own words, she has her incredible husband, Cole, who she met twelve years ago, and their love has blossomed ever since...but what Violet doesn't have is the ability to conceive a child. 

The pain of not being able to have their own child brings problems to Violet and Cole's perfect marriage, and causes Violet to begin suffering from undiagnosed blackouts, which leads her to Blake, a therapist, who helps Violet uncover the truth and reasoning behind her blackouts. 

Blake will soon help Violet discover that her life is, in fact, far from perfect. Will Blake be able to save Violet from the dark, undiscovered secrets from within her own life, or will he add to them? 

Can Violet trust the only man she has ever loved? Will she discover that love comes at a price greater than life?
