In a small shack not far from Jackson Mississippi, a young woman was raised by her father in the depths of cypress swamp. Although many never laid eyes on her, the town of Jackson spoke of her heavily in deception. The rumors that spread amongst the town characterized her to be something of immoral and calamitous. However, no words could narrate what was concealed deep in the marsh.

"Shit, shit! Why did you stab me!?" I exclaim, laying on the floor with my hand grasping my side, not really putting thought into what I'm saying anymore. He didn't know why he decided to target this town, he just needed to blow off some steam. He didn't want to be controlled anymore, he needed something different. When he meets (Y/n), and fails to kill him, will he actually find someone that understands him? (Y/n), also 18yrs old, is stuck in a house with an emotionally and physically abusive step sister, an avoidant step brother, a Dad who seemed to care more about his work and social status then his son, and a distant step mother. On the outside he looks perfect, he seems to have everything handed to him. On the inside though, however much he may think he's a saint, it's all a ruse to hide his homicidal thoughts. He prays for something new, something that will save him from the drone of life. However the way that prayer is answered might not be what he intended, but what he needs. I wasn't sure what love was. Everyone spoke of it like a legend. Something sacred that you'd capture if you were lucky. The man I had let take my heart wanted to carve it out of my chest as proof. I tried to forget feeling that way about him. I tried to figure out why I could ever love someone like him. He terrified me but at moments it was like a roller coaster. The population of central Louisiana’s swamplands swelter under the oppressive blanket of an unusually hot, humid and steamy summer; the unrelenting heat and humidity increase the pressure cooker like atmosphere, its duration and intensity is unheard of. The primeval richness and natural beauty of the humid untamed landscapes of the central Louisianan swamplands contrast starkly with its other dark characteristics. These being of perceived menace and disease which are interwoven in local culture and folklore with myths and legends that depict ghosts, spirits and supernatural evil. It is possible that these opposing characteristics of the central Louisianan swamplands mirror the opposing dark and light elements of my character which are in a continual struggle, one to dominate the other, and as such reveals itself as the backdrop to the story.Complete
