Hi, guys! I'm a journalist and creative from Brazil and I've been meaning to write a personal essay for quite some time. Hope you like it! :) I guess we all struggle with fear one way or the other so my story might, somehow, resonate with you. I tend to think I'm quite a courageous person. Nevertheless, due to various circumstances, fear has become a constant companion through the years, a mate even. The pandemic only made it worse, as I suddenly found myself in a new and disturbing category of humans: that of the "immunocompromised".
