The Day the Music Died

She ran down the corridors looking for Narcissa at her usual spots. She wasn't in the slytherin lounge or her room. She wasn't in the astronomy tower or in the greenhouse. She wasn't sunbathing in her favorite spot by the lake.

Alice gave up and headed down to hogsmeade, she might as well since her day was ruined and she could use a butterbeer.

She should've gone back to her room, where she could live life in blissful ignorance.

Because sitting at a table in the three broomsticks was Narcissa herself. Sitting across the table, holding hands, with a blond boy that Alice recognized as Lucius Malfoy.

Alice finds out that Narcissa is engaged and their relationship comes to a brutal end.

Years later Narcissa shows up in the dead of the night.
