Charon lives a happy life. He doesn't have many friends, but he doesn't need that many, and he cherishes those he loves greatly. With his two best childhood friends and the girl of his dreams, and a job that can support his life style, even if it isn't much, he couldn't be happier. That is, until one day, he receives news that changes his life forever. 

Lotus here! I got an idea to write this while listening to music and got very emotional. I looked at the lyrics and realized what the song was about, and kind of wanted to do something inspired from it. This isn't going to be a long story, just a small side project for whenever I need a break from conductor, since conductor, as much as I love it to death, is a lot of work -w-
Also just a heads up, if things go as planned, this will get very heavy at times, as it's a tragic romance, not just a romance.

I love reading insightful comments and interacting with the people who enjoy my story, or even getting feedback, as I'm very new to this and somewhat self conscious about it, but I aim to grow with time. It was around 150 years ago, when a war broke out among the 8 Eeveelution kingdoms. It was started by the Jolteon kingdom, as a war between themselves and the Vaporeon kingdom. The other kingdoms, excluding the Umbreon kingdom, joined sides with the Vaporeons, and nearly wiped out the Jolteon species completely. The Espeons mined out most, if not all of the thunder stones nearby, and hid them away. That was 150 years ago now. Jolteons are an incredibly rare sight these days. The other Eevees and Eeveelutions have been taught over the years that Jolteons are evil and soulless, and that evolving into one will change your mind for the worse, as well as being a sin against Arceus. Now, about 6 years ago, a couple exploring an old mine discovered one of the very few remaining thunder stones. They brought it home with them, but not without being spotted. Just a week later, they were forced to run away to protect their son from being discovered. They left both him, and the thunder stone behind. Now, 6 years later, there's a certain shiny Jolteon who's about to go on a journey. What may happen along the way? (This is the rewrite of Inside and Out. Some parts may be reused from the original.)
