After volunteering for a girl she doesn't know, shoving the girl's sister back, and fighting the Valg she thought she left behind on stage, Aelin-or Celaena-is officially in the Hunger Games. Read to find out how she royally screws up the timeline, royally fixes it later, and tries to find a way back home. ••• Quotes from the books will be scattered around. Only up to QoS, though, since that's when this book starts. I own nothing. Throne of Glass belongs to Sarah J Maas. The Hunger Games belongs to Suzanne Collins. And before you ask-because I know some of you will-no, this is not a Peeta x Aelin fanfic. Katniss x Gale (since, you know. Katniss doesn't go into the games, as you can see in the summary) Peeta will be a single pringle. Or I might just throw in a random OC and have them get together. "Look, it's your favorite color." I point at the light orange of the sunset. I hear a faint rustling, and I turn over to see Peeta looking at me instead of the sky. "You remembered," he whispers. "I remember everything about you," I reply, repeating his words to me. I expect to regret my honesty, feeling like I've shared too much. But I feel like I haven't shared enough. I want to tell him everything about himself, to prove just how much I remember. But I don't. We just watch each other until the orange fades into dusky blue. ➳➳➳ In the years following the dismantling of the Hunger Games, Katniss rekindles the fire between her and Peeta. Over time, they grow back together, relearning to love every part of each other. Moving on from the war isn't easy, especially when Katniss still revisits her greatest fears and worst memories every night. But Peeta is always there, keeping the nightmares away, keeping her safe. However, though the world is changed, it will never truly be safe. ➳➳➳ The years following the war. Post canon, basically what leads to the epilogue. CW: Mild sexual content, violence, death, pregnancy, panic attacks PSA, there will be canon divergence, and the later books will get pretty dark.
