Coffee Scented Midnights

Ciela Coreia Almazan is a sucker for every kind of coffee. Kahit anong oras, kahit nasaan siya, kapag nagcrave siya ng kape, maghahanap at maghahanap siya para lang isatisfy ang sarili niya.

Unang araw ng bakasyon niya sa probinsiya ng Lola niya, she had the urge to want to drink coffee again, at 11 PM. She wanted to fight it but in the end, she failed and went out to look for any open coffee shop and found one, just near her Lola's house.

Jedan Paul Sevanja was left to manage his late grandfather's coffee shop business at the mere age of 21. Clueless about coffee shops, doesn't even drink coffee. Still, he wanted to do his best for his Lolo. He wanted to make him proud and regain the image its coffee shop created around their town since he was little.

But when life plays with you, you sometimes end up deciding to just quit everything rather than strongly fight for it. A year after he started managing the coffee shop, he started to lose hope and came to a decision of leaving it all behind.

When a woman suddenly entered the coffee shop when he was about to close, though, he felt a flicker of hope rush through his entire system. It wasn't just one time. The woman came back, and came back again, and again, and again, until Jedan thought to himself, "Baka pwede pa. Baka pwedeng hindi muna ako sumuko."

And since she came into his life, all of his midnights started to be filled with the scent of coffee, of Ciela, and probably of... love?
