Lumaki siya sa isang pamilya na hindi siya itinuring na anak. Pagtungtong ni gia ng college, pinagsabay niya ang pag aaral at pagtratrabaho sa isang canteen malapit sa university nila. Naging part time rin niya ang pagtututor at paggawa ng mga thesis paper ng ibang estudyante. Kailangan niyang kumayod para sa pag aaral niya at para sa pamilya na siya lang ang inaasahan sa mga bayarin sa bahay.
Sa sobrang pagmamahal ni Gia sakanyang pamilya, nakakalimutan na niyang unahin ang sarili niya. Pagkagraduate niya, nag apply siya bilang isang sekretarya sa isang company sa manila. Tuwing may free time, rumaraket siya bilang isang singer sa isang kilalang bar sa manila. Nagbebenta rin siya ng mga kung ano-ano sa mga kakilala at kawork niya para doble ang kita niya.
Habang patuloy na nagpapakalunod sa trabaho si gia, hindi niya namamalayan na unti-unti na siyang nawawalan ng ganang mabuhay. Paulit-ulit nalang ang routine ng buhay niya. Puro nalang trabaho magmula nung nagcollege siya at hanggang ngayon gano'n parin.
Not until, pinayuhan siya ng doctor na wag munang magtrabaho. Nalaman niya na meron pala siyang...heart failure.

I was not a studious girl when I was forced into medical field because of my father who always expected the best from me.
