Lin Rhe opened her eyes to a blinding light, her head pounding as if the past itself had been torn out of her. Two hours ago she had woken up with only fragments of memory. Betrayal. A whispered plan between her boyfriend and her step-sister. Her father's empire crumbling into nothing. Money and power meant less than a knife in hand now.

One smirked at her as though he already owned her.
Another touched her wrist gently, testing her pulse like she was something fragile.
The third barely looked at her, his voice low and rough when he finally spoke.
The last one his gaze lingered too long, burning in ways she didn't understand.
