GIOVANNI is about a small country of only 10 towns. 16 years ago, a scientist named Lucas L. Giovanni collected 20 new born children and conducted experiments that gave half of them supernatural abilities, while the other half where given a tragic dose of Zerotyn, a deadly chemical that causes unpredictable and painful death. 

The sixteenth birthday of these children is the activation date of the Zerotyn, either triggering newfound powers, or untimely death. 

The children that survive will be taken to the Giovanni Academy, where they will learn to control their abilities, as well as how to fight. 

What will happen when Nova Sedik discovers she is a Giovanni child, and learns that more may be happening then everyone thinks?All Rights Reserved

I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. This is further proven by the sudden appearance of enhanced individuals nicknamed "Blights," which single-handedly explains the general consensus about them. Hated and oppressed, Blights have had their backs against the wall for decades. Teenager Liam Wang must learn how to juggle both his civilian life and the life of his super-powered, crime-fighting persona "Narukami" and all that comes with it. Oh, and also a super-powered serial killer running around the city, murdering whoever they see fit. Yeah, he's probably screwed.

Though the events in this short story take place before Book 1 in the series, I recommend reading it AFTER you finish "Siena." I think it will be more satisfying that way, because then you'll understand the little Book 1 references I've planted here and there. Finally, the format of the title and cover for this story is different from the rest of the series. That's because I consider this to be bonus material rather than a continuation of the series. It's only 12 chapters long. I may change the cover at some point, but in the meantime, this is what I have. :)
