Medusa Malfoy is a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin from her mother's side but the girl never knew her mother.
She did however know her father, Lucius Malfoy, the man who brought her to his family and at first his wife was angry but she grew to love the girl.
She was called the best duelist of her time and she was the second best student of the whole of Hogwarts coming behind Hermoine Granger.
One day on her way back to Hogwarts Medusa bumps into Hermoine not that she knew her name but it left a lasting impression.
