Ryujiki is Hitoshi's twin brother. He has protected Hitoshi from bullies for years, always getting injured and beaten up in the process. His quirk is silence, and he uses it to keep Hitoshi from voicing his concern. Really, he just wants his brother to be happy. However, after a particularly bad beating which sends Ryujiki to a hospital, the boy get's kidnapped. As Hitoshi's mental state declines from the lack of a brother, Ryujiki fights for his life every day in the clutches of the villains. Hitoshi realizes that he always relied on his brother too much, and as he failed to protect his brother when Ryujiki begged for help for the first time in their lives, he considers himself as useless. Ryujiki on the other hand completely disregards the separation of heroes and villains, and now considers the world to be split in other categories. 'Those who mess with other peoples' lives' and 'Those who don't'. Heroes, villains, civilians... having a quirk doesn't brand them into a specific category. They can choose to use their quirk to help or hurt others, but they can also choose to use their quirk only for themself. Or to not use it at all! Why change other peoples' lives unprovoked? If they ask for help, they ask for a positive change to be made. If they don't, why bother messing with them, whether for good or evil? The Rose Of The Meiji Era • Rurouni Kenshin

This story takes it's place in the Meiji Era, an Era where civilians of Japan have finally found peace in their country. After the Revolution of 1864 in Kyoto, unfamous Ex-Hitokiri Battōusai, Kenshin Himura, wanders the streets of Hokkaido with his now reversed blade on his hip, and an intention of protecting the country's citizens. The 22 year old wanderer saunters down the streets with no home, no food or water, and certainly no people he could call his 'Comrades'. As the days turn windy, Kenshin has no choice but to take shelter under a bridge near an old household. But considering the circumstances, he could not help but thank the people who decide to help the Rurouni who was desperately in need, and invite him into their home with much love. ---- A/n Hello Wattpaders! Mei-Shen reporting for duty with yet ANOTHER RK Fanfiction! I am proud to announce that this story was inspired by the Anime itself, though I have my tiny little twist on it!
