The story begins with the death of Sebastian Sallow. Esther Seymour holds him in her arms, and begs for him to not leave this world. How did this happen to them? How could she not save him? Was his death inevitable? 

The story takes place in the beginning of seventh year, after the events of Hogwarts Legacy.

Esther Seymour is a pure-blood Slytherin, and has taken the power of the repository for herself, against the wishes of the Keepers. The year following fifth year was boring, but Sebastian and Esther worked together to cope with their trauma. Sebastian seemed to be able to heal from the majority of his issues, but Esther still had something clinging to her. The lies she fed to the students about her past, her parents being dead, and having no remaining family left alive, are slowly coming back to haunt her.
