"Chey, Breeze saved you. But we don't..."
My mind was buzzing. I couldn't hear anything but my own thoughts. Pain. Fear.
She had saved me.
And now she was gone...

Cheyenne Adams lost her mother in a fatal equestrian accident, and is determined to push horses out of her life for good. Since that day, she used her popularity as a way of blocking out the pain, but no matter how much she tries to push away the past, she can't escape it.

And when her Dad decides to move out of their New York home, and into a small town in Virginia, she has to face the painful reminders that it brings. Their new farm is Cheyenne's idea of a nightmare, but when a tough pony and new friends come into her life, she might just have something to hang onto.

After all, when horses are in your blood,
Nothing can get them out.

**Book 3 in the Coda Paxton Series** My Aunt Callie always said I had to get back on the horse if I fell off. It didn't matter if I got bucked off, or if my cinch was too loose, or if I went to turn a barrel and slipped too far. I always had to get back on that horse before she would let me leave the arena. She'd tell me "Blake, you need to put on your big girl boots and get back in that saddle". So I did. That's how I grew up, riding with my dad or his sister every chance I got, and that's the way they taught me to live. If something scared me, they'd just tell me to put on my big girl boots, and that was enough challenge to get me to do it. Also, cowgirls don't cry. I'd never been much of a crier. Hell, I was known for being tougher than my cousin Kellan, and I was proud of that. I was proud because I was tough. Then, I met Coda. Coda was the girl with the whole world against her. Every time she started gaining confidence and feeling good about life, she'd get knocked back down. The thing about her was she didn't give up. Coda may have been a sweet, quiet soul, but she was tougher than any bull rider or bronc buster. She's the girl that showed me you can cry and still be tough. She's the girl that showed me what tough really is. Coda Paxton was the girl who made me want to put on my big girl boots and get things done, and not just because of the challenge. Rocked by her parents' crippling divorce, the only thing Ashleigh seems to have left in her life is her love of horses and a passion for riding. Worse, Ashleigh has learned that the people she thought were her friends were really only being her friends out of pity. Ashleigh feels as if there is nobody in the world who can look past her less than desirable home situation and be a true friend. ...Then she get's a job at Eves stable. Working all summer in exchange for riding lessons and showing opportunities seemed like a dream come true for Ashleigh and having a group of people her age with the same love for horses seemed perfect for Eve. "Dance with me." While I knew it wasn't a demand, it wasn't a question either. I hesitated and he noticed. "Come on Grace, give this gentleman the honor of a dance." "I don't see a gentleman anywhere." He chuckled, stepping closer and tucking his thumbs into his tight jean pockets. He looked like every woman's dream--dark jeans that hugged him sinfully, golden-tanned skin contrasted by his white-fitted shirt, a black, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, and a smile that could send any woman on her knees. Not to mention a voice that coated your skin like silk sheets. I hated how much I noticed. "You're right, but I would like the honor anyway... ma'am." ********************* Meet Grace--living the city life, reserved, eager to please, loyal to a fault. Feeling empty for reasons she's not yet sure of, she's adamant on chasing anything that makes her feel free. Meet Colt--living the country life, private, stubborn, outspoken. Feeling empty for reasons he's well aware of, he hides in his daily routine. Grace can't seem to figure out why she holds nothing back when it comes to Colt. He's absolutely infuriating. Colt can't seem to understand the affect Grace has on him, and why he cares what she does. She's entirely maddening. When the two get lost in the wilderness, it's up to Colt to get them back. Can they put their differences aside long enough to survive? Is it Colt who will save Grace, or is it she who will be his saving grace?
