Just a Bowl of Vegetable Cawl
Somewhere in Cornwall, around 1964.
After his father's death, Bridon Gaynor becomes the new chef at Denzil's manor. He works diligently and is grateful for this opportunity to earn enough money not only for himself but also for his family. Unfortunately, his daily routine derails as the normally restrained butler approaches him with clear intentions. Curious, the chef plays along, trying to learn more about the mysterious man named Lewis Anston who hides secrets he would prefer to take to the grave.

"Funny for a rich butler to say such things," the chef then remarked. "Not to say you're pathetic, but maybe tone deaf."
To this, Lewis started laughing nervously. "You're deadly honest, I must say."
The chef giggled and ran his fingers through his locks. "A strange man, you are. High status, much money...but still kissing my poor, illegal lips. Oh, bloody world..."
"Hierarchies and money are only man-made concepts. In the end our destinies will be the same." The butler shrugged.
