Crows counted the fallen, and the bell tolled for the dead, yet still, a forgotten spirit wanders, cloaked in the skin of the living. Their ghost clings like ivy, and he feels the weight of something he never learned to grieve.

Here I am writing yet another extreme slow burn whilst also in the midst of writing another. This is a rewrite of an old fic - warnings will be listed according to the themes of each chapter. And I will try my best to update regularly between uni work.

In another dimension, Optimus Prime, otherwise known as the passionate Autobot leader, discovers a strangle signal that leads his team to a femme who curses his name and wishes him dead. After trying to help her overcome some sort of brainwashing, Optimus realizes that the truth is more complicated than it seems. As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was. Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension. The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who.
