Based in the 50s, Cheryl and Toni meet and instantly connect, but since it's the 50s their love Is forbidden, the gang wants to change how society views sexuality, sex women, and people of color. Toni Topaz is quite open with her sexuality she always knew she was attracted to both men and women. She is a part of the biker gang known as the south side serpents. They spend most of their time in the secret gay bar known as the dark room, which is also where Toni works part-time. Toni becomes fascinated by the confident Cheryl Blossom. Cheryl is still trying to figure out her sexuality she's in denial. They are from two completely different worlds. Cheryl comes from a wealthy family who are very close-minded and old-fashioned. Meanwhile, Toni is poor living in a small trailer with her roommate and best friend Jughead, and his girlfriend Tabitha.

The Difference
Toni Topaz, new to Northside High, gets romantically involved with Veronica Lodge somewhat quickly. Something always feels off between them, to Toni at least, until Toni meets someone. Toni meets a girl who is somewhat in her own world, battling her own demons, hiding her own secrets, and is doing it all alone. The two seem to be pulled together by a force that has no cares for their personal intrests, for the girl seems to somewhat hate Toni. Anywhere, anytime, they seem to be pushed together, to Toni's dismay, she begins to crush on the girl despite having Veronica Lodge as a girlfriend.
