Halo Battle Buddies: The Ghosts of War
Prequel 1 / 2 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.5) (Status: Complete) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on the legendary and hyper-lethal Noble 6/Spartan B-312 and his outcome after the end of Halo Reach, essentially surviving after the fall of the planet and his comrades that is Noble Team. (Canonically he is considered dead or MIA) The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. The Ghosts of War is a prequel and pilot of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first book on where Halo Combat Evolved takes place. DISCLAIMOR: I do not own Halo and the intellectual property belongs to Bungie, Microsoft and 343 Industries. This is for fun, and not making any form of profit of this story. When no one knows you're alive, its liberating and confining. It's one of the best things that can happen to you, especially if you're a villain! You can be someone else, live the life you never could, do the things you only dreamt of! You would think, at least. However, the best thing you can do is start over new and embrace anonymity, new horizons, more opportunity. Until, that is, the holder of the lien on your life cold calls you home -- now what? Act like you didn't get the call? Take a third shot at redemption? Or better yet -- do something bold and reclaim your life? The Peacekeepers: Secret War
Christian theologian and philosopher Augustine of Hippo once said, "The purpose of all war is peace". In the world we live in today, this saying is one much too true. The Great War, the Second World War, the Vietnam War... these are all examples of such a catastrophe. Which ever one is made topic for discussion, the results are still the same - millions dead, and if not, suffering the aftermath. Despite all this, the sacrifices weren't in vain, as the necessary peace was kept. However, a war rages on, and this time, it could end the world. Two secret organizations, the Peacekeepers, who makes it its mission to protect the world, and the Southpaw, who's bent on destroying it. Hiroyuki Watanabe, a fellow Peacekeeper, is part of this war. A soldier, one too young. Along with his team of brave souls, the boy endeavors to end this secret war, before it ends humanity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Note: This was and still is my very first story. To elaborate even further, it was also my first time writing anything at all. My original intentions were to test the waters and see how it appeals to any and every reader that comes across it. So having mentioned that, it might not even count as a 'story', it more or less can be looked at as a 'prototype' of one. For any factual inaccuracies or misrepresentation of real-world concepts and ideas, those are on me, and I apologize if ever. I myself am still learning and trying to get the hang of things.
