Evangeline (Evie) Moreau, had known the Winchesters since she was 13, taken in by John Winchester after a fatal hunting accident that resulted in the death of both her parents.

Evie and Sam were the same age and grew up with the same views of life, best friends and platonic soulmates. However Evie and Dean had never been very civil with each other, Dean had always blamed Evie for Sam's dreams of college and she had blamed him for trying to indoctrinate Sam into the "family business".

So when Sam and Evie both leave for college, leaving Dean and John behind, his detest for the girl only grew.

But this story changed the night that Dean shows up to recruit their help to find their father and the truth between the older brother and the girl begins to unfurl.
