The Book sat on a lonely shelf at the back of the library. Nobody knew where the book had come from. It was simply there. The Book was unremarkable and plain. Not many people had checked it out. Though it sat unnoticed and unused in the dusty corner of the library The Book was a curious thing. Those who did check it out found that it in fact was a very, very, curious thing. Funny as it may be those who checked out the book seemed to live shorter lives. comically short lives indeed. Ravings and rants, people claimed it was out to get them. No matter the book was simply there, harmless and docile. It was a book, books did not live or hate or seek blood. They found that within weeks or days even the people in question committed suicide. Curioser and curiouser indeed.

Brianna and her best friend, Aubrey, were walking home from a football match when suddenly two men came out from the bushes with masks. Aubrey was paralyzed with fright but Brianna was completely calm. "Look what we've got here." the tall and muscular man said. Brianna could see the gun which was visibly showing on his side. Brianna's face was red now, but not from the slap, rather from the anger which was building up from the fact that these amateur men were about to either rob or kidnap them. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing.
