The search we cling to now forever.
By james a. galgano

Our lives often linger on the outskirts of elusive forever.
Clinging to every limb from above below passing of foolish time
Before our eyes each day greet us with sunshine above
Then almost leave as quickly beneath waxing waning moon.
We worship or pray to for answers often in some fleeting god's name.
Often surrender our beliefs to faith or some quizzical variation.
Carrying our hopes on the backs of parents we still remember to this day.
Where once upon a time we came into this life dressed in all innocence
With never a thought as we grew, we would ever meet lies to betray
The dreams we were born to believe might one day become forever true.
Without a doubt from our youth until dying age hopes forever clung to
As if it were a religion upon, we faithfully followed, and sacrament swallowed.
Granting us hope or perhaps even salvation we praised and often hallowed.
Holy whether within church or temple no matter our learned lesson or belief
Providing us will succeed despite our struggles or if obstruction became a thief.
Devouring our dreams or young and leaving us with our grief to carry on alone.
As if we were ciphers without hope but to carry on forever where no sun has shone.
Nevertheless, we carry on from dawn to dusk then into darkness where we sleep.
Perchance to dream no such futility is a thief taking our every breath to deceive.
Beyond our every hopeful resilience, which carries onward to at long last believe.
One day awaits us with every answer to our hopes prayers we share with progeny.
We procreated upon some glimmer of elusive dream we would find upon discovery.

She came to him, stayed with him, gave him hope. In her presence, he found strength; in her eyes, he saw a reason to keep fighting. "Let's be friends?" She held out her tiny hand, her eyes shining with innocence. He shook it. "Friends." And before he even realized it, his heart had already been lost to a little girl. He fell for her soul long before he ever allowed himself to fall in love. But just as suddenly as she entered his life, she disappeared... He searched for her, yearned for her, and when he finally found she didn't recognise him. Before their marriage, he knew her heart was still trapped in the past. He knew she wasn't ready to love again. "I don't want a wedding. I don't want to vows which I don't mean. We will be husband and wife in names only." Yet, he married her anyway, believing that one day, he would carve a place for himself in her heart. But she fights him, resents him, pushes him away at every turn. And he, the man who once commanded power and control, watches her in silence- afraid that if he pushes too hard, he might lose her. And this time... he can't afford to lose her again. For her, he was willing to fight against the whole world. Because she was the very breath that kept him aliv

[[Book 2 (FINAL book) of "One Lifetime is Never Enough"]] "I would have waited for you forever." The lament of a faraway voice that she had missed - that she had been longing to answer to - echoed in her mind. "But, you are no longer here." The despairing sigh was a muted murmur - clawing at her, begging for her to respond. But she was there, here, wherever the voice was. But then again, she might as well was not. She could no longer see, could no longer reach him. The voice sounded so near, but it was also as far as another world she could no longer be in. Nevertheless, she could still feel, in the darkness that was cradling her non-existence; the agony she felt in her non-beating heart, in her dormant soul, it was all due to her longing. For the owner of the voice. For him. The voice kept begging in agony - tormenting her, tormenting himself. And she could not do anything. "Please wait for me." "Please remember me." "Why... why can't I see you?" "Won't you wait for me?" ----------------- For you, I will wait for eternity. This time, I will wait. This time, it is my turn to wait. So please, please just let me find you. Please, be there when I find you. Please, tell me that you are still mine. That I still exist, perhaps not in your memory, but etched in your very soul. Like you have been deeply engraved in mine, lingering like a beautiful illness I will gladly bear and succumb to. Because, I will search to all corners of this world, and wait until the end of days. For you. Because, this world will always be wretched without you. And then, I will always, forever, bloom. For you. -----------------

Let me tell you a story of a kingdom that was once the most advanced civilization known to this day, a pinnacle of achievement that still astounds the universe with its grandeur and sophistication. Its twin towers were the centre of all knowledge of the universe, and their luminous rays radiated from the lights at the tip of each tower, guiding all travellers from across time and space back to its main doors. Until the day they arrived, from the shadows and as old as our known universe, we battled with all we had to contain this dark and mysterious life form. Our kingdom was about to fall. Our scientists found a way by creating a wormhole through space to a new world, granting us a chance to save our civilization. But something happened during the process... I was jolted awake to find myself alone, hundreds of years later, and all of those who had been with me gone. It was only after certain events that I discovered my immortality, so I vowed to rebuild the Orion civilization in this new world. One day, against all odds, I met her gaze, a unique gaze that only my wife Lisana had possessed. I later realized that it was her spirit reincarnated, as Kayronian we could only love one person, we were irrevocably drawn to each other regardless of distance and time. We lived happily until her death; many years later on a trip to another continent, I encountered her again, this time as queen of a Nordic people, multiple lives together followed, united by our eternal love and the immeasurable pain of reliving her death over and over again, in total I had to bury her with my own hands 87 times. The last Lisana implored me to break the cycle before it started again. Then the first occurrence happened, somehow they found a way to access this realm, through some rift, However, they were unable to keep their physical form in this world, i must find a way stop to them.
