Norman is 22 and wants to be a police officer. He has a crush on Mary but also a girlfriend that he can't get rid of. 

Cody is 35 and a former police officer. He has two daughters but is a widower.

Kyle is 20 and this is his first job. His parents lost their company and investments and now he must make ends meet. 

Mary is 21 and has a crush on Norman but also a boyfriend that just can't let her go. 

Jemma is 32 and a military recruit. She's been waiting for the call back but never gets it. She doesn't know what to do with herself anymore. 

Ainsley is 26 and a lesbian. Her parents have no idea. They'd never understand anyway.
