Rosalie May Gilbert was adopted into the Gilbert family.  Rose has that bitchy, stand up attitude that comes in quite handy. Rosalie battles with herself when she realises that her friends have turned into backstabbers and Elena is just as bad. While Rose was in Canada she spent most of her days with Klaus, but Klaus compelled her to forget so when she gets her memories back she remembers that Klaus doesn't mean to be so evil.
