    "Is this world a heaven or a hell?" I asked him, my question hanging in the air like an unfinished spell. He turned away, his gaze lost in the landscape before us. 
    
    "I believe it's a matter of perspective," he finally replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "When I'm with my father, it feels like I'm trapped in hell, but when I'm here, with you..." He paused, turning to look at me, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. "It feels like heaven." His words were genuine and full of emotion.
