Ryleigh is content with the way things are in her little town of Farmville, VA. She deals with homelife but can't wait to move out and away from her ever constantly accusatory mother, her pushy older sister, and her painstakingly messy and annoying little brother. The only person she can really stand in the tiny town where everyone knows everyone is her best friend Levi. Levi is going to be a famous musician one day, no joke he is actually incredibly talented, and Ryleigh swears she's going to be his personal photographer and go on tours with him. But then Ryleigh runs into Blair, a new girl, one random Saturday at a local restaurant, literally runs into her. And suddenly Ryleigh realizes it may not just be Levi she wants to spend her time with anymore. Yeah, sounds like your typical lovey dovey high school story, but trust me. The twists and surprises that arise in this book are not what anyone will be expecting... especially not Ryleigh. The coming-of-age love story with a web full of twists and turns will make it difficult to stop reading.

April 2025- am going to attempt weekly chapter releases on Sundays... fingers crossed

In the second book following "How it was Left" - By the summer before their junior year, Zooey proposes a promise that she and Lila won't let anything stop them from moving on from Borne to pave their own ways for themselves, even if those paths send them to separate places. But when Lila's boyfriend Michael dies tragically at the end of their senior year, those separate places the girls end up in leave Lila remaining in Borne while Zooey heads off for college in Chicago. Not only are the two separate from each other geographically, but through hidden secrets both have vowed to keep from each other about the terrible night of Michael's death. Five years later, Zooey has returned to Borne after finishing school, but unfortunately, experiences in her past 5 years of life have forced their way home with her. Not only that, but being back in such close proximity of Lila reminds her that she still carries a terrible secret about Michael she's sure Lila never knew about. Zooey's arrival back into town leaves Lila feeling much of the same. Riddled with guilt about the parts of her life she has kept secret from Zooey and others, she finds herself pushing away the only person she's truly been able to trust since Michael has been gone: Michael's brother, Hunter. ***CONTENT AND/OR TRIGGER WARNING: This series contains situations pertaining to violence, addiction, childhood trauma, sexual assault/rape, mental/emotional/physical abuse, and tragic accidents & loss of loved ones which may be upsetting for some readers. "Kala's dark, smooth skin and Kelly's pale, heavily freckled face contrasted so vibrantly I wondered how they could both be so beautiful. They were like a living yin-yang. Kala sat with legs crossed and arms on her armrests, calmly waiting for the curtains to open. Kelly was talking and laughing excitedly with people all around her. Both girls radiated energy. Kelly's was all kinetic. Kala's was pure potential. Fire sat next to water." Analee didn't have an LGBTQ community to join. In her small town, she WAS the LGBTQ community. When two new girls move into town her senior year, one older, one younger, everything changes for her. It turns out falling in love is harder than she thinks. Even with a steadfast belief in true love, Analee finds navigating romance, friendships, and family something that has to be figured out one day at a time.
