Pierre has always had feelings for Yuki, but he doesn't know what those feelings are. So when Alpine offers Pierre a seat for 2023, he's quick to accept. He'll miss Yuki, but he also wants to get as far away from him as possible.

And it hasn't gone unnoticed by Yuki the way Pierre looks at him. He knows how Pierre feels about him, and he feels the same way, but doesn't know how to tell Pierre that. finally he works up the courage to tell Pierre, but doesn't get the chance to when Pierre announces he's going to Alpine.
