They fly to the Crystal Palace, where they learn how the flight goes: they open the First Blush of Spring, which will reveal the first rainbow for the fairy world. Fail, and Fairytopia is doomed for ten years of bitter winter. Slowly, all fourteen apprentices get to know each other, with Sunburst, Elina, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack becoming the most competitive towards each other. But it's not like things can go perfect for long. In fact, Elina, Linden, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy accidentally get Laverna out of her frog form, and things get even weirder when Sunburst suddenly starts acting nice. Three of the apprentices keep confronting them on the mistake. Oh, and the guardians fall into comas. The Enchantress knows that the fourteen have to complete the flight together.
