It was said that humans were born with two spirits: one pure, the other evil. The pure spirit guided them towards good, while the evil spirit steered towards bad. These two spirits coexisted within the same living body, influencing their choices and actions, resulting in divergent paths throughout their lives.

The distinction between being human or devil was determined by which spirit held sway within their body, and the extent to which their soul had surrendered to its influence.

Damu Lan and Bai Chang were inseparable. They were once friends, but now they stood on opposite sides of a great divide. One was hailed as a savior, while the other was regarded as a ruthless and fearsome devil.

News had begun to spread that the leader of The Grim City, Bai Chang, had met his demise, while The Grim City was destroyed. The Qing Shan Sect had undergone a significant reconstruction, becoming more extravagant and grandiose than ever before.

But a mystery remained lingering in the entire world: although Bai Chang's body had been given to the Grim City's residents, no one seemed to know where his head had gone - not even the remaining members of the Qing Shan Sect or the residents of The Grim City.
