His soft hum vibrates through the space between us, the quiet chuckle he lets out against my earlobe sending a shiver down my spine. His voice is low, dangerous, as he leans in closer, his breath warm against my skin. "You can keep lying to yourself," Morgan whispers, his words dripping with challenge. "Pretend that once we leave this school-once we graduate-you'll forget me. Forget the way I make you feel, Alex." His lips ghost along my jawline. "But we both know the truth, don't we? You don't want to forget me." I yank hard on the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer, our lips brushing in a fleeting, electric touch that leaves me breathless. My voice trembles with equal parts anger and desire. "I hate you. So. Fucking. Much." The words hiss out, but my grip on his shirt only tightens. Morgan smirks, his fingers trailing along the hem of my shorts, igniting fire and fury all at once. His dark eyes bore into mine, daring me to deny what's between us. "I know, baby," he murmurs, his grin widening into something wicked. "The feeling's mutual ................ The seemingly mundane confines of detention become the backdrop for an unexpected and tumultuous journey for two high school students, Alexandra and Morgan. Alexandra, an underachieving student, battling the loss of her brother, and Morgan, a rebellious troublemaker, couldn't be more different. When fate lands them in the same detention room one fateful Monday, sparks fly, but not the kind one might expect. Their interactions are fraught with tension and snarky remarks, each vying for dominance in the small, confined space of the detention room. As they navigate the challenges of detention together, they also confront their own personal demons, discovering that they have more in common than they gathered. Alex is not shy, she's simply following her rules to hide in the background of life in general. Or at least she's doing her best to be 'at the fardest end of the social spectrum' Strictly reserved to her own things that vary from music to... pretty much anything related to that, Alex lives the normal life of a highschool student who doesn't wish to engage in deep conversations with no one. Not even her family even though ocassionaly she has to. One day around the middle of the school year, she coicidentially (yeah right. I wrote it :D) is asked by a new beautiful girl the simple favor of helping her find the exit of the school building. She does prefer looking at things through a more positive lens, so things like her debilitating health conditions seem to slip her by. Eating less food could only be a good thing right? Well, soon she would learn, not only to take better care of herself, but also to love. An experience she has yet to discover, until her lingering eyes fall far too long on one particular girl. ~~~~~ Wendy was the sweetest girl alive, with simply no one to share the overwhelming stream of love she had to share. When a storm hits her town, she's locked inside, desperate and alone for what seems to be an eternity. But unbeknownst to her, this would bring her closer to love than ever before. Marissa was getting over her past trauma, and only games could ever do that for her. During yet another month of locking herself up in her room, she found someone who was different, a light through the darkness that was her life, an angel, to save her tortured soul from damnation. At least, that's how she might phrase it. ---------------------------- The title was chosen years ago, so I decided to leave it be and combine these two stories. This will be a moderate length mini story for the two couples, exploring their journeys which happen at completely separate times. These are the untold stories of our side characters from my other book's shared universe, but reading those two books are not exactly necessary to enjoy this one. Hey y'all 🧍♂️ this is my first published story so. Please don't bully me. Uh so ig this is a first girl at Welton type thing?? Maybe a Charlie Dalton love story?? Here's an excerpt 😌 Claire smiled and looked over to Charlie, "Go brush your teeth, we can do the other half of the experiment, now," He nodded vaguely before disappearing back into his room. Claire prepared a Petri dish and swab and Charlie came into her room soon with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. "I only smoke one, right?" "Just one," she replied, sitting on her bed. Charlie nodded and sat at her desk, lighting up, "You want one?" "No, thanks," He lit a cigarette and took a drag, "Why don't you smoke?" "I know there's a smoker inside of me somewhere and I don't want to let her out," Charlie closed his eyes for a moment, "There's a smoker... there's a smoker inside you?" "You heard me, Dalton," "Okay, but- but that doesn't make sense," Claire shrugged, "Sure it does. You can't possibly know everything about someone, Charlie. You don't even know everything about yourself.
