Mature
Evie has spent the last 575 years on the North American continent, now called America, the Pure and Clean. She smiles, volunteers and makes cakes and pastries for her neighbors, hiding away her demon blood. She wants nothing to do with her estranged husband, the King of Hell, and is only able to communicate with her son secretly through demon post. She deludes herself that the world is a beautiful, happy place until Gran, the woman who raised her, suddenly dies. It sends her demonic energy into a tailspin and awakens the memories of her childhood. Diyiren, the current King of Hell, can only think of getting to Evie, but he's unwelcome in PC. When Gran's cause of death is discovered-murder-Diyiren explodes. Wary of maintaining peace with his human allies, Diyiren pulls every string to get to Evie. Meanwhile, Brantley, Evie's neighbor, worries about the demon loving girl who is suddenly an orphan. Unaware of Evie's demonic history, Brantley tries to foster and care for Evie. But Evie is too overwhelmed by her own emotions and the flood of memories drowning her to pay any attention to a human who has tripped up and fallen in love with her.

***COMPLETED***So get this... We've been living in a dystopian nightmare for 10 years now. Grandpa Alfred says it's the older generation's fault--well duh! To make matters worse, Bell, my twin sister, contracted "The Wasting." No doubt she caught it by helping the kids in the Forbidden Zones. That's where all the mutant freaks live. Not just your usual freaks but kids with missing limbs, half a face, twisted spines... My witch of a mother thinks it's from the nuke plants leaking after the purple lights lit up the skies. The preggo's babies turned into monsters. Due to Bell's bleeding heart she only has a month to live. Grandpa says he knows this invisible guy with a cure, (yeah right... what you've been sniffing Grandpa?) He's disappeared and so close to "Recycling" age. Now it's up to me and only me, Izzy Quest, a freaked out teen from Brooklyn, to save my dying twin sister. You may have guessed by now, I'm not the save-the-day-sort--Bell is. She's the sweet, honest, dependable, pretty twin. Don't believe me? Ask my lunatic of a mother. "You look like Bell; try acting like her." If Bell had to save me, she'd be all organized with sticky notes and a compass. Me? What do I have but OCD, a short fuse and a cynical attitude. Oh, but I can run--fast. I can outrun any boy in my school. Well, when there were schools. As of today, all schools are closed indefinitely. Thanks evil, New Regime! (Bell wants me to tell you our story is in 3rd person and not first person--whatever that means...) Find out what the Quest sisters are up to next! Read: "Escape From Fat Camp"

𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐭. ~ For five years, Evelyn turned up missing. Locked at the bottom of an endless void of water in a metal safe. Trapped in a coma of her own. Though she returns, nothing in her life is the same. Her family has vanished without a trace. The home she has spent more torturous yet joyful moments in, the closest thing to home, destroyed and left in rubble. Her best friends, her brother, her own daughter, missing without so much as a trail. No one left to help her, console her, tell her everything will be okay. Within the span of five months, Evelyn has managed to rise back to her feet, but she's dropped her old life. Temporarily. Changing her hair style, and name, she's confided in people eligible to help her. But per usual, she's ultimately bound to making enemies. Creating a new enemy was not on her agenda, especially not one that she is agreeing to marry. After getting into a situation she can't seem to get herself out of, she is forced to stay in the same house as someone she hates as much as he hates her. But as time drags on, the line between love and hate seems to blur. Forcing herself to focus on her main objective, she attempts to limit as much time with him as possible. But living in the same house, despite its rather large build, she's bound to run into him by chance. Evelyn will do anything to save her family, as they had done many occasions before-for her. Even if it means destroying her own happiness in the process. {MATURE LANGUAGE} TW -Violence -Rape/sexual assault -Kidnapping -Drugs -Gore/torture -Suicide thoughts/attempt
