Saphira Pendragon is Dragonkind. Dragonkind are a race of people who change into Dragons at will.

At least they were until they became almost extinct because they were hunted. Saphira's parents were killed and resulted with Saphira being the last of her kind. And to keep herself alive, she became a Ranger.

She is a great friend of Gandlaf the Gray's and that's the reason she became a member of the Thorin Oakenshield company.

But, soon she discovers that she gets a lot more than she bargained for on this journey. She falls in love with one of the members.

But, will he accept her for what she is?

The dwarf-Prince's heart isn't as nearly as impenetrable as the vaults of Erebor, a chance find and visit cause a form to grow between two races. If anything the elf-Princess's curiosity about everything, and anything which involved or was created by the hand of dwarf's in turn piques his own curiosity, not finding how something so delicate could find fondness in things so hardened. Regardless, a love formed, two pieces complete only to split thanks to a dragon's attack of the jealousy of what Erebor had within.
